Dierdra the Infernal
After being conceived of the passionate union of a young elven adventuress and a fire elemental, a young Ifrit was left on the doorstep of the Sylvus elves in the town Woham. Dierdra was given a traditionally elvish name. Though the Sylvus elves were well-to-do, Dierdra hardly had the life of luxury constantly competing with her 3 younger siblings for her parents love and affection. Being an Ifrit meant Dierdra was not only older than her sibling, but she aged much more quickly. This led to any proper elvish learning and teaching being considered a waste by her parents, citing “she’s no time to master” any type of craft. She grew up with basic education and first being called “the infernal” by her young classmates when she was only 15. This arose partly because of her charcoal skin and fiery hair, but also because of her quick temper and propensity toward pyromania. Although she never hurt anyone really, the humans in her village passed stories of her, painting her a danger. Without the blood, she was never considered a part of the Sylvus family, and as she grew she used the insult “the infernal” as a token of power for most of her life. In her late 40s, essentially her adolescence, she met a summoner woman who was passing through town. She looked intriguing to Dierdra, having never seen a woman clad in such ornate light armors but still handling magic as a sorcerer does. Impressed also with the concept of an eidolon, Dierdra approached this woman, pleading to join her company and learn her secrets. The woman said to Dierdra, “I’ll give you a promise” she then reached in her pack and grabbed two tomes from it. “If ever we meet again, and you can summon an eidolon of your very own, I will teach you all I know, young one.” She handed the tomes to Dierdra, which were beginners summoning techniques, and left town the next day. Dierdra spent the next seven years preparing and building upon her skills, thinking that being able to summon an eidolon, would finally cure her loneliness. At the age of 55 she created Samson, a burly dark skinned man with physical attributes such that Dierdra had never achieved. He became her protectorate. She almost immediately abandon all ties to Dorrent. And has been traveling in search of her teacher for the past five years. Now 60 and finally qualifying as a 1st level summoner she is more confident than ever that she will find her master and become the best summoner the world has seen, and prove wrong all those who doubted her abilities. She now travels with a young boy, Mike’s Character, who is training to be the world’s greatest warrior. She finds herself in the town of Beabluff, a farming town, that doesn’t seem to be frightened by her appearance. Now she wants to find out more about that mysterious woman, and maybe make a little more gold to sustain herself and Mike’s Character.
